Publisher Electronic Arts and developer DICE are chomping at the bit for you to see Battlefield 4 in action for the first time when the gameplay reveal trailer goes live March 27th. So much so that they have been sending out teasers for the trailer over the last few days – two so far in the last 24-hours.

Various teams across the studio at 343 Industries have been hard at work putting together Halo 4‘s next title update. While it’s not expected to go live for a few weeks, Halo 4′s title update 3 is in such a state that the developer has decided to release the patch notes.

At first glance the list may appear smaller than your average update, but one thing in particular presents a myriad of future opportunities.

The latest Black Ops 2 update rolled out on the Xbox 360 (1.07), PlayStation 3 (1.08) and PC last week. The same update, which addresses bugs and issues, improves on existing features, and re-balances a bunch of weapons, has gone live today on Nintendo’s Wii U.

The Wii U version of the latest Black Ops 2 update includes some Wii U-specific changes, too.

Electronic Arts and DICE have launched the official Battlefield 4 mini-site. Found at www.battlefield.com/battlefield-4, the new site doesn’t give us any more information on the upcoming shooter, yet.

What you will see when visiting the Battlefield 4 site follows the theme that seems to run through all of the Battlefield 4 media that we’ve seen so far… rain. The site is covered in it, obscuring the picture behind. When you ‘wipe’ the screen with your cursor the rain is temporarily removed, giving you a sneak peek at the image laying behind.

Microtransactions have become more and more popular since free-to-play and mobile gaming became the “norm”. It’s not only mobile and free-to-play titles that offer in-game purchases, though. Most recently Call of Duty added microtransactions to their latest game, Black Ops 2, in the form of personalization packs, more Create a Class slots, stuff like that. Now it has emerged that Gears of War: Judgment will also offer gamers the chance to purchase extra stuff in-game.

Electronic Arts and DICE have set a date for the big Battlefield 4 reveal. Gaming news outlets started reporting that they were getting invites today from the PR department at Electronic Arts for the event in San Francisco, California.

“DICE invites you to the unveiling of Battlefield 4. Please join us to celebrate a new era of Battlefield,” reads the invite, emblazoned with the Battlefield 4 logo.

A lot of people have been happily playing Crysis 3‘s thoroughly enjoyable multiplayer since the game launched last month – me included. It’s a great game. For those that picked up the game late and have some catching up to do, or those that need a helping hand, Crytek just announced that the second Crysis 3 double XP weekend will kick off tomorrow.

Following the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version is the latest update for Black Ops 2 on the PC. Live now on Steam, the patch features mostly the same changes as the console version, including feature improvements, multiplayer issue fixes, spawn improvements and gameplay balancing. 

The latest Black Ops 2 update  - patch 1.08 for the PS3, 1.07 for the Xbox – is live now for Xbox owners and coming to the PS3 very soon.

The 41MB Black Ops 2 patch includes numerous fixes and additions including feature improvements, issues that have been fixed and lots more gameplay balancing. Actually, most of the gameplay balancing involves weapon’s attributes being altered. So, check out the patch notes below and see if your favorite gun has been affected.
