There’s no doubt that a lot of people will be pre-ordering DICE’s next game in the Battlefield series, the eagerly anticipated Battlefield 4. In order to entice those that may not plan on ordering Battlefield 4 pre-release, an incentive will be dangled in front of their face in the form of a free expansion pack.

While every man and his dog waits for GTA 5‘s September 17th, 2013 release date, Rockstar Games are drip feeding a trailer here and a screenshot or two there to tide eager fans over.

With a lack of recent updates, Rockstar went on record last week to explain why they have been so quiet lately when it comes to revealing the game.

Hype for Battlefield 4 has been steadily building over the past few weeks thanks to the announcement that the game would be revealed March 27. The teaser pictures, teaser videos, and leaked screenshots and trailer that followed certainly helped build more excitement for the upcoming shooter.

Just hours away from the official Battlefield 4 reveal and our first look at the upcoming game and, unsurprisingly, a trailer – or what looks to be more of a commercial – has leaked onto the Internet. The 30-second trailer, set to Rihanna’s ’Run This Town’, is packed full of gunfire and explosions, but is likely to be taken down pretty quickly once Electronic Arts get wind.

With Battlefield 4 officially being unveiled to the press today and to the public tomorrow, the first screenshots of the game have started hitting the net after being found tucked away in a public directory on Battlefield.com. A retail poster has surfaced online claiming DICE’s Battlefield 4 is to be released at some point in Fall, 2013

Published today by Chinese site Gamersky, the EB Games promotional poster urges people to pre-order Battlefield 4. Those that take the retailer up on the offer of pre-ordering with them will be presented with a pair of real Battlefield 4 dog tags. Other than enticing people to pre-order, the poster goes on to confirm a Battlefield 4 release date of Fall, 2013.

While first-person shooter fans eagerly await Battlefield 4‘s reveal trailer on March 27th, watching the teaser videos that Electronic Arts and DICE have been releasing over the last 48 hours, Battlefield community manager Ian Tornay is posting tweets describing how he is “excited thinking about all the cool, fun Battlefield 4 stuff we’ve [DICE] got planned.” In his excited state Torney goes on to (re)confirm that the Battlefield 4 beta will start this Fall, not Summer as was revealed earlier in the day.

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer DICE are chomping at the bit for you to see Battlefield 4 in action for the first time when the gameplay reveal trailer goes live March 27th. So much so that they have been sending out teasers for the trailer over the last few days – two so far in the last 24-hours.
