New Battlefield 4 Screenshots Revealed After Social Media Campaign

battlefield 4 logoA Battlefield 4 social media campaign was kicked off Thursday by Electronic Arts and DICE in an effort to remind people that the recently revealed next Call of Duty title, Ghosts, isn’t the only eagerly-anticipated upcoming-shooter on the block.

The publisher and developer were asking for retweets and shares across the official Battlefield Twitter and Tumblr accounts that had posted partial copies of a new Battlefield 4 screenshot. When enough people had retweeted and shared the partial images, the full version of the Battlefield 4 screenshot would be unlocked, promised the social media and community team behind the campaign.

However, the team have got to be very careful when it comes to tuning Halo 4′s weapons because getting things wrong could mean making the whole multiplayer side of the game unbalanced. In order to make sure that they get it right first time, they are taking their time.

343 have been doing a good job so far keeping us in the loop regarding where they are at with the tuning and testing. In the latest Halo Bulletin, however, the developer said that they are nearing the end of tweaking and tuning each weapon and will be inviting a small group of community members into the studio to get a sneak peak at the new changes.

Spies Vs Mercs involves one team (the Spies) trying to hack data located on stations positioned throughout the map. In order to make the Spies’ task a little easier, they have a few abilities that the Mercs don’t; they are very agile, stealthy and deadly in the shadows. The Mercs, who’s objective it is to protect the data, have a few special abilities of their own to aid them in protecting the precious data; they are heavily armored, powerful and lethal in the light.

The Call of Duty: Ghosts leaks just keep on coming ahead of tomorrow’s rumored reveal. Following yesterday’s ‘Call of Duty mosaic‘ social media marketing campaign, and previous rumors of a next-generation Call of Duty engine, is a leaked GameStop poster that reveals the release date for Infinity Ward’s upcoming shooter.

According to the GameStop pre-order poster (embedded below), Call of Duty: Ghosts’ release date is November 5th, 2013.

Latest Black Ops 2 Update Brings Fixes and New Game Mode – Patch Notes

black-ops-2-cover-art-bo2-codDeveloper Treyarch has released a new update for Black Ops 2 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Available now, the huge patch brings feature improvements, gameplay balancing, multiplayer issue fixes, and resolves problems with Mob of the Dead, the latest Zombies map (currently only available on Xbox but coming to PS3 and PC May 16).

The developer has also decided to slip a new game mode into today’s patch. Called ’Arms Race’, this new “limited time” game mode awards players 150 score for each kill, meaning they are able to earn Scorestreaks much quicker. Arms Race can be found in the Bonus Playlist.

“The Ghosts are Real” – Call of Duty: Ghosts Marketing Campaign Begins

After a number of recent leaks suggesting that the next Call of Duty game is set to be revealed on May 1st, Callofduty.com has today been updated with the beginning of the marketing campaign for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Visitors to the page are currently being redirected to http://www.callofduty.com/______ and are presented with a mosaic compiled of contributors’ Facebook and Twitter avatars. You can contribute to the mosaic yourself by adding your Twitter or Facebook avatar to the artwork come marketing campaign, and “take your place in history on the Call of Duty Mosaic”.

Next Call of Duty (Ghosts?) to Be Revealed Before May 1st

Last year’s Call of Duty game was officially revealed for the first time on May 1st, 2012, and it looks like the same reveal date is penciled in for this year’s game – rumored to be Call of Duty: Ghosts.

A picture of a GameStop display blueprint has been sent to IGN, revealing that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be unveiled within 5 days time. These promotional displays are due to be sent out to GameStop stores on April 29th, but a notice on the blueprints is informing GS employees to not display the posters until May 1st.
