Crytek have been busy putting together a update for their just-released Crysis 3 and are currently rolling out two new patches for the sci-fi first-person shooter. The second time the game has been updated (a large patch was released while the game was still in public beta not so long ago), Crysis 3 Patch 1.1 and Data Patch B addresses a number of issues with the games multiplayer, including bugs and glitches.

Not only are the team at 343 Industries feverishly working behind the scenes to get weekly matchmaking playlist updates ready for mass consumption, but they have also been working on a new Halo 4 update.

Set to go live “some time this week”, according to the developer, the next Halo 4 update deals with a significant amount of bugs, glitches and issues, touching all areas of the game. There’s also more balancing to be done and more “matters of contention to address”, promises 343. The team say they are also “actively working with the Halo 4 game team to investigate the feasibility of additional fixes.”

Information that gamers, tech fans and everyone in between have been waiting for and speculating over for a long time is now public knowledge: Sony have officially announced their next-gen console, the PlayStation 4.

At a flashy press event in New York today, Sony unveiled the PlayStation 4 to the world, detailing the consoles specs, new features, Dual Shock 4 controller and games. Following yesterday’s update on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is the latest update for Black Ops 2 on the PC. Available now on Steam, the new update brings feature improvements, multiplayer and zombies mode issue fixes, and gameplay balancing.

It emerged yesterday that the as-yet-unreleased Gears of War: Judgment had been leaked to file sharing and torrent sites. Microsoft issued a statement in response saying that they are “working with security teams and law enforcement to address the situation immediately”. People playing the game on Xbox LIVE illegitimately can also expect an Xbox LIVE and console ban.

Yesterday, images for each of the three small-to-medium sized maps in Halo 4‘s second map pack, The Majestic Map pack, were leaked. With under a week until the map pack is available to the public, 343 Industries and Microsoft have decided that the time is ripe to release some official promotional material for the DLC.
