It seems like it has become the norm for promotional material to leak days before Black Ops 2 map packs are announced, and that’s what happened again yesterday when a poster for Black Ops 2 ’Vengeance’ map pack leaked.

Today, publisher Activision and developer Treyarch have confirmed that yesterday’s leaked poster for Vengeance is genuine and have released a trailer:

Yet again, promotional material has leaked revealing the name and details of Black Ops 2‘s next, third map pack. It’s called Black Ops 2: ‘Vengeance,’ according to the leaked promotional poster that popped up today on YouTube and quickly spread like wildfire.

Following yesterday’s Black Ops 2 update for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is a similar version for the PC. Live now on Steam, the latest Black Ops 2 PC update brings feature improvements and multiplayer and Zombies Mode issue fixes. Among the changes are nerfs to a couple of the games pistols. The KAP-40 and B23R have both received damage reductions.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 have today both received a new Black Ops 2 update from Treyarch.

Live now on both platforms, Black Ops 2′s patch 1.10 (Xbox) and 1.11 (PS3) feature a significant amount of changes. Most notably, two of the game’s pistols have been nerfed – the KAP 40 and B23R have had their damage reduced. Also, there have been improvements made to who can be the host of a game lobby.

New Black Ops 2 Personalization Packs

Back in March, Treyarch made new DLC items available to purchase for Black Ops 2 via in-game micro-transactions. It turns out that the Personalization Packs – including weapon camo, three reticles, and a calling card - were pretty popular, because the developer has decided to add some more. This time around, though, you get to choose which ones are made available.

Developer Treyarch has released a new update for Black Ops 2 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Available now, the huge patch brings feature improvements, gameplay balancing, multiplayer issue fixes, and resolves problems with Mob of the Dead, the latest Zombies map (currently only available on Xbox but coming to PS3 and PC May 16).

The developer has also decided to slip a new game mode into today’s patch. Called ’Arms Race’, this new “limited time” game mode awards players 150 score for each kill, meaning they are able to earn Scorestreaks much quicker. Arms Race can be found in the Bonus Playlist.

PlayStation 3 and PC users have, yet again, had to wait in vain while Xbox 360 users have fun on new Black Ops 2 maps without them.

Black Ops 2′s latest map pack, the Uprising Map Pack, was released to Xbox 360 users on April 16th, while no date was released for other platforms. Today, Activision and Treyarch have announced the release date for Uprising on the PlayStation and PC.
